This meshing suite is a comprehensive set of meshing components, which aim at providing CAD/CAE application developers with reliable, fast and high-quality meshing technologies.
These components address all aspects of automatic meshing for real life industrial 3D numerical simulations, using very efficient algorithms.
Note : The mesh is applied only on the selected model in the explorer.
To mesh your model:
1. Import your model (CAD or Mesh) into the viewer.
2. Activate and in the toolbar.
3. Choose Meshing in the upper left navigation.
4. The meshing menu allows the user to set all the mesh generation parameters.
5. Meshing menu:
---- Model ----
Replace : The result will replace the selected model in the explorer.
Add : A new fixed model will be created and added into the explorer.
---- Input Source ----
CAD : The selected model in the explorer came originally from a CAD definition.
Mesh : The selected model in the explorer is a discretized one.
---- Generation Mode ----
Constant : The element size is defined by the user.
Progressive : The size is estimated according to the local geometry curvature and the "gradation" parameter.
---- Buttons ----
Reset : Reset parameters to their initial average values according to the bounding box.
Mesh : Submit and display the mesh.
---- Faces Respect ----
Yes : The elements will respect the boundaries of the original faces.
No : The elements will respect neither the faces nor their boundaries. The resulting mesh will be a whole.
---- If Constant Mode ----
Size : Defines the size the user wants for all the elements.
---- If Progressive Mode ----
Gradation : Sets the desired mesh gradation. The closer the gradation is to 1, the smoother the resulting mesh will be.
Max length : Defines the (global) maximum cell size desired.
Min length : Defines the (global) minimum cell size desired.
geom Tol : Defines the maximal distance acceptable between geometry and the center of the cell. (max chord error when possible according to the min size value).
